MARE BALTICUM 2024 MEDALS

The Royal Philatelic Society London Exhibition Medal

Front and back side of the medal

The Royal Philatelic Society London Exhibition Medal is one of the most exclusive in philately, having only been presented eighteen times in its seventy-five-year history, including to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The original medal was presented from 1949 until 1968, followed by a special presentation to Her Majesty in 2006, on the occasion of the centenary of the granting of ‘Royal’ status to the RPSL. It was resurrected in 2022 and Mare Balticum 2024 will be the fifth time it has been presented since then.

On this occasion it will be independently judged by a panel comprising four Fellows of the RPSL. They will seek to award it to an exhibitor who is not a member of the Royal Philatelic Society London. It will be for an exceptional, innovative exhibit with a truly original approach to exhibiting, both in subject and presentation, whether or not it is recognised by the FIP marking system. The Medal will be presented at the Palmares.

The winner will also receive membership to the Royal Philatelic Society London with their 2024 membership fee paid.
