The Royal Philatelic Society London Exhibition Medal is one of the most exclusive in philately, having only been presented eighteen times in its seventy-five-year history, including to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The original medal was presented from 1949 until 1968, followed by a special presentation to Her Majesty in 2006, on the occasion of the centenary of the granting of ‘Royal’ status to the RPSL. It was resurrected in 2022 and Mare Balticum 2024 will be the fifth time it has been presented since then.
